The Duraflex brand, a global leader in plastic buckles and accessories for the outdoor and sporting goods industry, was founded in the United States by Mr. Joseph Ansher, driven by a passion to provide the backpack market with the most functional and reliable components. Starting from a single factory, the company has since grown into an enterprise with manufacturing facilities around the world, including in the United States, Italy, China, and Vietnam. In addition to plastic buckles, Duraflex has expanded its product lineup alongside the brand’s growth to include metal snap fasteners, grommets, zipper pulls, cord locks, and more. By also adapting nearly all accessories for the sporting goods market for use in other applications, Duraflex offers these products to a wide range of customers.
In 2010, Duraflex became the first company in the trims industry to be recognized as a bluesign® system partner. Since then, the DURAFLEX Group has obtained certification at all of its production sites and has extended its scope to include metal surface-treatment suppliers. The company has also earned certifications such as Oeko-Tex® and GRS (Global Recycled Standard), and is committed to building sustainable, environmentally conscious production systems.
